Today I am happy because I got my hair cut and re-dyed, so I no longer have 2 1/2 or so inches of roots showing. I feel pretty! :)

[EDIT: And I'm even happier because the FSA claim reimbursement form was actually available when I wanted to print it tonight! See here for a previous rant on this subject.]

I opened the door just a few minutes before noon to go out to the mailbox with Corwin to drop off some mail. As I opened the door, I saw the mail truck pass by, which meant that we had missed today's pickup already. Today, I am happy that we spent a good day up in Spring with Andrew's family and Bob & Nancy and Ralph. I always enjoy family time, and wish we got to spend more of it. Yesterday, Christmas Eve, I was happy that in spite of not having slept at all during naptime and thus being in "must not stop moving or I will fall asleep" mode, Corwin managed to behave well enough that we didn't have to leave in the middle of the Christmas Eve church service. Today I am happy because I found 12-packs of Coke and Barq's for $2.50 each at HEB. They were on sale 3 for $10, with a "buy 3, get 1 free" in-store coupon on top of that. Given that Coke has been $4.00+ for the last several weeks, this makes me very happy (and tempted to go back tomorrow to see if I can nab some more...if there is still any to ( Read more... )

I'm happy I got to stay in bed a little late this morning while Andrew got Corwin up and fed him breakfast, and apparently dealt with a strange poopy diaper while I was in the shower, so I didn't have to help.
